NYC indie dream pop band of the moment, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, has a sound that's a bit of a late '80s college radio throwback, but that's what I like about it--a mix of My Bloody Valentine mixed with happy Jesus & Mary Chain and even a little Cure.
